About Tou & Mai
Located at 4240 Cass Ave, Detroit, MI 48201, Tou & Mai operates as a tea house serving Detroit in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Detroit. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Michigan are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12β8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, touandmai.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 330 reviews, which is a strong result for a tea house in Detroit and suggests consistent service.
Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Detroit follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

So disappointing. I paid $8 for very watery tea with congealed coconut milk, and it had no taste at all. I hadnβt been to this place in a long time and wanted to give it another try but wonβt be back sadly.

Good service and a nice selection of snacks, but man, I don't know what happened to this place, used to have some great bubble tea but the last few times my wife and I gave it a try, it was watery and had a bit of off flavor. Got home and ended up in the trash. Some of the worst bubble tea I've ever had.

The workers were super kind! There was a wide variety menu and many other things to buy. We got three drinks and they were all SO good.

Hidden gem! I went next door to go Sy thai to grab food and was craving a thai iced tea. I was not expecting the selections. First of all Amber was absolutely adorable and sweet. I ordered my thai iced teas without even looking, I almost regret it bc there's so many good choices i missed. But it was so good I couldn't even be mad. And its not too sweet either, great balance. After going in my friends saw how good my drink looked they purchased the match, thai tea, and a mixed drink as well as some turtle chips (one of my fave snacks). Ill definitely be back and i look forward to trying more yummy drinks!

I tried boba tea for the first time at Tou & Mai, and I really enjoyed it. The drink was refreshing and had a great flavor. Definitely a good spot to grab a boba tea!
